UMass Boston's softball team competes at the highest level of NCAA Division III by virtue of its association with the Little East Conference. The Beacons' conference schedule brings some of the best teams in the nation to the Harbor Campus, while UMass Boston also routinely plays a top-notch non-league schedule.
