One of UMass Boston's newest varsity sports, the women's soccer program is evolving into a competitive team in New England soccer.

The Beacons compete in the Little East Conference, which pits their skills against the top teams in New England. While the Beacons' have yet to challenge for the conference title, their non-conference record in their brief tenure at the varsity level has been quite impressive.

In just three years as a varsity program, UMass Boston already has produced one of the Little East's most decorated players in Shannon Murphy, who was twice named to the all-conference first team.
