TO PITCH IN LEGENDARY CAPE COD BASEBALL LEAGUE
BOSTON, MA - University of Massachusetts Boston baseball player Nick Conway (Methuen, MA) has agreed to a temporary contract to play for the Brewster Whitecaps in the renowned Cape Cod Baseball League, the premier amateur baseball league in the nation since 1885. The Whitecaps have the option of offering Conway a full contract, depending on his performance. UMASS BOSTON ANNOUNCES 2006 HALL OF FAME CLASS
BOSTON, MA
- The University of Massachusetts Boston has
announced its 2006 Athletic Hall of Fame class today, naming Bussy Adam,
Mary Barrett, Darrelle Boyd, John Caccamo, Paul Curran, Rodney Forbes,
Sherman Hart, Bill Innocent, Frank McCarthy, Michael Mitchell, Robert
Reardon and Gordon Webb along with the 1965-66 Boston State men's ice
hockey team, as its new inductees. The electees were voted in by a
13-member Hall of Fame committee in May and will be formally inducted at a
ceremony on October 12, 2006 at 5:30 p.m. in the Campus Center ballroom on

BELISLE NAMED
MEN'S ICE HOCKEY COACH
BOSTON, MA -
University of Massachusetts Boston Vice
Chancellor for Athletics and Recreational Programs Charlie Titus announced
today that the University has named Peter Belisle as its Head Men's Ice
Hockey Coach.
We are very fortunate to attract a 'young hockey lifer' to the UMB family
of coaches," said Titus. "His background, college hockey knowledge and
overall experiences lead us to believe that Peter will be an outstanding
hockey coach for many years to come. I am pleased that coach Belisle has
accepted our offer and look forward to working with him to advance our
