Coaching Staff 2008 Schedule Results 2008 Statistics 2008 Roster

The men's tennis program at UMass Boston has enjoyed tremendous success on the team and individual levels. One of the university's original varsity sports, the Beacons annually can contend with any Division III program in New England.

The team's highlights include the 1990 season, when UMass Boston rolled to an 11-1 record and won the Little East Conference championship.  The Beacons have continued their excellence up to the present with multiple individual Little East Conference champions.  Quazi Sadruzzaman became the only player in LEC history to capture the Flight One Singles title four times in 2004.  He began his string of four straight in 2001, when he was joined by Punkid Lowhachai, who was the Flight Two singles champion that year.  Kim Yang earned the Flight Four singles title in 2002.  Dat Nguyen teamed with Sadruzzaman to win the Flight One Doubles trophy in 2004.  All tolled, UMass Boston men’s tennis boasts 20 Little East Conference individual titles in either singles or doubles play since the league’s inception in 1990.
